Aging weather satellites imperil hurricane forecasts

In an interview with Fox News 45, Antonio Busalacchi, the director of UMD's Earth Systems Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC), describes how aging weather satellites are vital to accurate weather forecasts - and they're beginning to fail. The government needs to invest in new satellites to protect the public from dangerous weather, Busalacchi says.
