Biography

Amy is the Director of Undergraduate Student Services and has worked in CMNS (and the former CMPS) since 2007. Prior to coming to CMNS, she worked for 8 years as the Assistant Director of Advising for the MS and MBA programs of the Smith School of Business, and 10 years in the MBA Program Office of American University. She taught middle school Earth and Life Sciences before completing her M.A. at UMD.

What I like best about working for CMNS:

The people! We have a unique group of staff and faculty throughout the college who are dedicated to making the student experience in CMNS and at UMD the best it can be for our students. We are a big team, and work together to help each other through the myriad of tasks and responsibilities we have. Everyone's input is valued and encouraged, and we all learn from one another to provide top notch services to our students and to each other. We're all Science Terps, and the people are the most valuable part of the college to me.

In my spare time, I enjoy:

Hiking, bird watching, visiting national parks and historical sites, spending time with my large extended family (who are mostly within an hour of the DC area)!
