Year: Junior
Hometown: Rockville, Maryland
Major(s)/Minor(s): Biological Sciences (General Biology) and Sociology Double Degree. I am also on the pre-med track.
Activities I Enjoy: On campus, I have really enjoyed being apart of the FIRE program. Even though I completed the program, I have stayed on as a peer research mentor and have had a great time getting to know the new cohorts as well as continuing to have experiences in research. Off campus, I am a medical assistant at a community clinic and have enjoyed meeting new people as well as taking part in several community outreach programs.
Favorite Spot(s) on Campus: ESJ and McKeldin Library
Favorite Class(es): Any of the sociology courses I have taken or am currently taking because of how thought-provoking they are.
In My Free Time, I Enjoy: In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, painting and spending time with family and friends.
My Favorite Thing About Being a CMNS Peer Mentor: My favorite thing about being a CMNS Peer Mentor is meeting other students who have shared interests and/or experiences as well as being a friendly face to anyone struggling to find their place at UMD like I did.
