Biography
Kelly P. Venable is a senior academic advisor from Baltimore, Maryland. Since 2015, she has worked in various advising roles within the University System of Maryland. Her advising philosophy is rooted in equitable empowerment for students and an advising experience governed by integrity.
In 2009, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Lincoln University, Pa. She completed her Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies: Organizational Administration and Governance from Morgan State University in 2025. Kelly enjoys exploring academic policies and creating strategic plans to help students reach their academic goals. For Kelly, commencement is the affirmation of why advising matters most. Seeing her students graduate is the most rewarding aspect of her role.
