Not long after Casey Tarman (B.S. ’19, mathematics; M.P.S. ’21, data science and analytics) graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and landed a job as a data scientist with the Department of Defense, she decided the time was right to get her master’s degree.
