Curriculum sheets, sample graduation plans, and information on benchmark requirements are found on departmental websites for the major or minor. Detailed information on research and internships, Departmental Honors Programs, and other opportunities are on departmental websites as well.
Careful planning is essential to getting the most out of your academic experience. All students are required to complete a graduation plan. The plan is a roadmap to help students map their degree completion. As a student progresses, it can change. It is helpful to use a plan to identify opportunities for double majors, double degrees, minors and education abroad.
All students are expected to:
- Develop a graduation plan
- Meet benchmarks as part of making satisfactory progress towards their degree
- Understand and follow University and College academic policies
Valuable learning opportunities exist outside the classroom, so students are encouraged to:
- Explore internship and research opportunities
- Consider studying abroad
- Consider participating in a Departmental Honors Program
- Get involved in student organizations on campus
- Consider teaching, becoming a TA, or tutoring
Students interested in attending professional schools should make use of the following:
- The Reed-Yorke Health Professions Advising Office for medicine, dentistry, and other health professions
- The Pre-Law Advising Office for students interested in pursuing law
