Adjunct Professor, CS @ UMD
GP has a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2004 and was a postdoc at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC), working on cryptography and computer arithmetic. In the last 20 years, GP has worked both at Silicon Valley companies (Intel, NVIDIA, Synopsys) and Wall-Street companies (Teza, Engineers Gate). As a researcher, GP has written more than 20 papers on a variety of technical topics and has been awarded two US patents. As an entrepreneur, GP started one company in the fields of integrated transistor simulation (ZeroSoft, acquired by NASDAQ:Synopsys) and two companies in the field of artificial intelligence applied to finance (June Capital and Kaizen Technologies). |

Since 2022 GP teaches machine learning and decentralized finance at University of Maryland, College Park. GP is also an instructor of entrepreneurship with UMD NSF I-Corps helping with commercialization of UMD research. GP is a mentor for the UMD Blockchain initiative and runs KaizenFlow, an open source project aimed at building Fintech / DeFi / Web3 applications using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. |
