Philip Resnik

Professor, Linguistics and UMIACS

I conduct research in computational linguistics, with interests in applying natural language processing techniques to practical problems and modeling human linguistic processes. My general research agenda in language technology is to advance the state of the art by striking the right balance between data-driven statistical modeling and linguistic and domain-expert knowledge, with the broader goal of gaining a better scientific understanding of human language itself.
