The Kirwan Mathematics Festival will be held on March 10, 2015.

William "Brit" Kirwan joined the Department of Mathematics at the University of Maryland just over 50 years ago. In celebration of his 50 years as a mathematician, we are bringing together the following speakers for a conference to be held on the university's College Park campus.

Location & Parking

Location: The seminars will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in room 3206 of the Mathematics Building at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. The Mathematics Building is located on Campus Drive, close to the circle M.

Parking: Available in the Paint Branch Drive Visitor Parking Lot. You will need to pay at a kiosk in the lot. Directions: Enter from Route 1 on Campus Drive. Lunch is provided and will include a Pi Day celebration with dessert pies and a recitation of Pi in recognition of this monumental year: 3.1415…
