Entrepreneurship

At CMNS, we work to foster a thriving culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.  In the last decade, half of UMD's start-up companies originated in CMNS; annually, our faculty and researchers average 45 invention disclosures and 11 new patents.

In the Princeton Review's 2014 list of the "Top 50 Schools For Entrepreneurship Programs," published in Entrepreneur magazine, UMD ranks No. 15 for its undergraduate program and No. 16 for its graduate program.
